What data we collect
By default, drafts and settings stay local. Resume content, settings, drafts, and template choices are stored in your browser’s LocalStorage while you edit.
The app also makes network requests for static assets, optional integrations that you explicitly configure, and PDF export. When you export to PDF, the rendered resume HTML/CSS is sent to the ResumeArchitect PDF service so it can generate the file and return it to you.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics is disabled by default. If you opt-in, your Measurement ID is stored locally. We enable IP anonymization and beacon transport to minimize data collection. You may revoke consent at any time from the Settings panel.
AI assistance
AI-powered suggestions require a Gemini API key supplied by you. Requests are sent directly to Google’s servers using your credentials. We do not proxy or store API responses. Remove your key at any time to disable AI features.
Local storage & retention
- Drafts and preferences are stored in LocalStorage under the
orb_* namespace.
- You can clear all data using the “Clear All” or “Delete Draft” actions inside the builder.
- Uninstalling or clearing your browser storage permanently removes your data.
Third-party services
We rely on the following third parties for infrastructure:
- Google Fonts: For typography rendering.
- JsDelivr/Cloudflare: CDN hosting for open-source libraries.
- GitHub: Source code hosting and issue tracking.
These providers may receive standard HTTP request data (IP, user agent) when assets load.
Your responsibilities
You control the information entered into the builder. Please ensure the accuracy of personal details, scrub sensitive data, and observe your employer’s confidentiality requirements.
